Are homemade luggage tags for save the date cheap or a good idea?

I’m thinking of making homemade luggage tags with wedding scrapbook paper & embellishments. Its a destination wedding & since I need to provide so many details, I’m sending a letter on nice stationary as well. My fiance thinks the tags & letters are nicely done & its saving lots of $, but wondering if people with think its cheap?

    Luggage tag on your fridge to it in prominent place would you put luggage tag on it than know from your question perhaps magnet instead or nice postcard with your picture on it than know from your fridge to remember the date maybe there.
