govu2003 asked:

My luggage gets damaged whenever I travel. It is usually something minor, such as having the wheels or a strap broken off, but I once had a large hole punctured in the side of my bag and all my clothing spilling out.

This is not just an occasional incident. It probably happens once for every two or three flights I take. No one else I know has this problem so frequently, and I wonder if there is anything I could do to avoid it.

I am not overpacking the bags. I also use fairly good quality luggage, yet I still get samage.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Have you filed any claims with the airport or airline or your insurance?

Regarding the prior post - you won’t be allowed to wrap up your suitcase before you get on a plane. Customs and security will *definitely* cut it open to check things out. However, you can request a clear bag from your check-in counter.
